Today, It's Official...
I am O.L.D. My sweet, YOUNGER, sister turns the big THREE-OH! The funny thing is, we may appear like adults, have husbands, homes, and children, but we are still the same silly 10 and 12 year olds that I remember from 20 years ago.
Have a great one, Suz! You are only as old as you feel!
We love you!

A Great Thing
Can you believe all of this for a little more then 20 bucks?
Anne felt the desire to SMELL everything that we had brought home.
A few weeks back, Aaron, Adam's brother told us about a produce co-op that his neighbor was putting together. After some inquiring we decided we were very interested. Yesterday was our first produce pickup. It was a lot of fun to watch the whole process happen. Trisha, Aaron's neighbor and her husband Bob have a large truck come, drop off a HUGE amount of produce on their driveway to be sorted evenly among the different families, meanwhile approximately 50 people descend on their residence to pick up the goods. It is a large undertaking for the responsible parties. Adam and I are so excited that we have found this Thanks Aaron for bringing it to our attention and thank you Trisha for taking this on for everyone. It is GREAT!

Holy Mackerel!
Adam and Doug decided to go fishing one random day while we were in Gulf Shores. It was a blast for them. They caught over 30 Mackerel. They brought home five.
The menu that night was chicken. It was quickly placed back into the fridge. The fishermen made us a fabulous fish dinner.
We didn't JUST sit at the beach...
One of the evenings we decided to venture out to a highly recommended destination. Lulu's Restaurant. It was a great time.
They provided misters for the heat, sand pits for the kids, cool drinks for the adults and just and all around great atmosphere. We ate on the water and were even visited by a few sea gull's. (not one of my favorites of God's creations!)

Vacation con't...
I mentioned in a prior post that we took A TON of pictures. I promise, I am almost finished sharing! :)
I keep saying, "We had the BEST time." I figured out why. It was calm, there was no running from this tourist trap to the next. We honestly, did nothing, but eat, drink, laugh, swim, build sandcastles, put together a puzzle (with a missing piece...grrr...) and enjoyed each other's company.
If you were on vacation with us. Thanks for making it a fabulous time!

Yum, Yum, Yummy
I often read a blog titled 'Whatever.' (click on it)
It is a wonderful place to go and hang out for a little while. Meg, the author, has wonderful outlook on things, is a great photographer, and often gives ideas for projects and recipes.
Yesterday, while I was visiting her blog. (you should check it out too!) She shared a recipe for Blueberry Buckle. I fell in love with the name, the picture and just outright HAD to try it.
Today was the day, the girls went to visit their friends at the babysitter, so the mixer had my UNDIVIDED attention. The outcome was... A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
Go ahead, try it, I know you'll like it!

vaction round 1
So with two kids we decided to make our 11 hour trip into two days. The girls were perfect. We pulled into a rest area in Mississippi, hoping to find a playground at one point. They didn't have one, so Adam did what any man would do and grabbed the swimming noodles and started a NOODLE WAR! The girls had a blast and slept for about an hour and a half afterwards! :)
The one shot of Anne gazing out of the window is her first peek of the ocean. It was love at first site!

We're Baaaack!
Trying to come up with a catchy title and that is all I could do.
We are officially home from our vacation (sniff!).
It was awesome! Not that I thought it wouldn't be, BUT when you combine four families that are all 'on their own now' and combine that with three children under 4, it made me a little gun shy of how it was all going to go. I am proud to say I think it could very well be my favorite vacation.
As I was riding along today, I was mentally reviewing the week. I think that this is the first vacation my sister and I have been on together since our jaunt to Osage Beach when we were teenagers. What do you think Suz?! If so, pretty sad.
We all had a blast. A wonderful trip, filled with LOTS of food, LOTS of giggles, and LOTS of relaxing.
Between my photog brother in law, Doug, and myself we have well over 1,000 pictures. I won't bore you all with each picture...stay tuned for some good ones! :)
It's good to be home, I guess. If I could just figure out what that odd smell is in my bathroom. Don't you just hate that?
