note to self

day 1 of summer break.
the day i am going to forever change my eating and exercise routine. not only mine, but my families too.
but today-i need to try it first.
so i did.  the carpool came for the girls and I started my new routine.
1. get dressed.
2. eat two fresh eggs, once slice toast, one large cup coffee.
3. lace up tennis shoes.
4. set smart phone to track my distance.
5. head out.  decide to change up route.
6. enjoy the cool breeze.
7. realize that NEVER in your life should you slurp down a LARGE cup of coffee without risking the chance of a major gastro intestinal event.  While you are very far away from home.

spring!

in our house, we are very, very, VERY thankful spring has finally arrived.
this past winter was heavy.  lots of weird things going on.
adam's very best friend, Glen passed away suddenly.
the shock from the news was hard and the journey of grief has been difficult.
a couple business glitches.
a bit of a "come to Jesus" that didn't directly effect me, but i was involved with, with work. (long story)
some saddening news about a friend.
major 4th grade drama for Anne with grades and work. (we worked through it)
just one stinkin' thing after another....some big, mostly little, but over and over again...
i'm happy, i know, for longer days, brighter sunshine, green grass and flowers, more then i've ever been.
if nothing else, it has proven that we are tough, and that we can hold on tight and get through stuff-big or small.

It has made Adam and I realize our strength, faith, and foundation.  It's been a good learning experience for us!
i know this is rather vauge.  but it just needed to be stated-in case i/we have seemed distracted, out to lunch, no mentally present...it's not you. It's US! :)

A decent snow...

I said I was behind...
It only snowed a semi decent snow once, maybe twice this winter....

sheesh...i'm slow.
but here is the recap of Anne's darling 10th birthday party with her friends.
Anne is head over heels for art...I was at a loss of who to have help me with the party...

The girls were well behaved, the activity was awesome, it was just a great day had by all!

a long time coming....

So....Anne turned 10 almost two months ago now...
It was such a fun day.
I planned a day of 'surprises' for her and each surprise had a clue.
It was so fun.  She loved it.
We started with clue #1.

surprise 1-The movies to see the new Annie....

Surprise 2-I don't have a picture. But, it was a trip to one of our favorite lunch spots...Sweet Tomatoes.

we packed a bag and drove 20 minutes down the road to the double tree....

well. February 5 was my last post.
almost exactly one month ago.
guess what happened?  my computer died.
dead. as a doornail.
unable to revive. 
I learned a couple things,
1. never store anything on your computer. unless you back it up.
2. never store anything on your computer. ever.
3. just don't trust a computer. 
:)
I only had a few important pictures that were unrecoverable. 
I've got lots to post that has happened in the last few weeks.
i'll be back at this.  but not storing a thing on this dumb keyboard box. ;)
